So how can you be an integral part of setting a world record AND help animals in the process? Please allow us to introduce you to Patrick Lomantini, a Master Stylist, who has set an ambitious goal with his 50 Haircuts in 50 States in 50 Days Tour. It is his vision to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records, for a second time, while giving back to specific animal charities in every state by cutting 50 “heads of hair” in 50 states (yup, that’s a new state every day) within 50 days. The tour will start August 1st in Augusta, Maine and end on September 19th in Lomantini’s hometown of Wichita, Kansas. This is not the first time that Lomantini has channeled his passion for animals through the scissors in his hand. In 2010, he set a Guinness world record by cutting hair for 72 hours straight; total head count … 277 haircuts and donations of $1,625 which was presented to the his local humane society. He is also the man behind BarkAID, a yearly charity fashion show benefiting the Kansas Humane Society.
Lomantini will be bringing his tour to Billings, Montana on September 4th and the Rimrock Humane Society is honored to be the beneficiary of the donations from this event. All haircuts are free, however, a suggested minimum donation of $25 is recommended. Seems a great exchange when helping save a life!
