It is all about the animals, people! We here at the Rimrock Humane Society like to think outside the "box". We are blessed that our concept of maintaining a "virtual" shelter works so successfully! But how could it not? All of our animals live in the care of loving foster homes and NOT in a cage or kennel. Their lives, while they wait for a new forever family, are stress free and healthy. When potential adopters want to meet an animal, they do so in the comfort of a loving home observing that animal in a relaxed environment (getting a good "read" on the true nature of the pet). It is a win/win situation in which the animals, our adopters and our donors appreciate!
Even though we are a "virtual" shelter, we still have technological advances such as computerized record-keeping and microchip pet identification that enhances the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our already low end operations budget. The Society operates as an independent not-for-profit organization supported by individual and corporate donations. The RHS does not receive government funding.
